Canterbury Newsletter, July 2023

Welcome to the Canterbury Newsletter for July, 2023.

The next monthly HOA meeting will be held on Monday, July 10, at 6:30 pm in the clubhouse. This will be an especially important meeting as Gerardo Becerra from the IMPD will be in attendance to discuss crime in our area. We look forward to seeing everyone there and encourage you to stay with us after this presentation to learn about the many important issues that your HOA board is focusing on.

Our Community Handbook has been revised and updated and is now available on our community website, canterburycondos.com. Please be sure to review this as it contains pertinent information regarding the rules that are enforced to ensure the peace and beauty of Canterbury. Hard copies will be available to pick up at the monthly “Third Saturday.”

On Saturday, July 15, our clubhouse will again be open from 1 pm to 3 pm for “Third Saturday.” A member of the Canterbury HOA board will be present. Please drop by to discuss concerns and meet your neighbors. There is a bookcase full of books just waiting to be borrowed by any of you who love to read.

Fourth of July is approaching, and everyone wants a fun and safe holiday. There is a Marion County fireworks ordinance from IMPD Homeland Security that goes into effect from June 28 through July 9. This ordinance spells out very specific rules regarding the use of fireworks, including the fines that will be charged for any violations. If you plan to use fireworks in your holiday celebrations, it is essential that you check out these regulations. There are two ways to find them: one is to to use a search engine, such as Google, and enter “Marion County Fireworks Ordinance for 2023”; the second is to go to nextdoor.com “City of Indianapolis.”

Please Remember

We are glad so many residents are enjoying the pool! Be sure to review the official pool rules as they have been updated for 2023. Also, for safety and security, please be sure that the gate is fully latched behind you whenever entering/exiting the pool area. Replacement pool keys are available from our KMC property manager, Kevan Carriger, for a $10 fee.

Everyone continue to enjoy the summer! We will see you again in August.
